Charlies is amazing, not only does she know all her customers coffees off by heart, she has a smile and warm words all year round. I would hazard that she single handedly increases both productivity and wellbeing for the city of St Albans having just celebrated 10 years of standing in a car park :) We love Charlies and love her little coffee shop too which has a devilishly good tiger bread BLT.
When I started a new job, my colleagues assured me that the best coffee in St. Albans was from Charlie's. Having sampled all the other coffee shops on my route to work, I can confirm they are correct. Not only is it the finest coffee you'll ever taste, it's also served with the sort of friendly smile and chat that you'd never get in one of the chains. 5 stars.
Top-notch coffee and served with great milk too but really worth it for the smiles and witty banter.
