Where do I start a place so magnificent it is hard to find the words to describe how I felt being here.The day I was here was even more magical as there was a choir singing. I am not a religious person but this place was especially moving.
Disabled access isn't great, we were with a group of disabled students. Hopefully the building works will improve access. But .... amazing site and very helpful staff
Wonderful cathedral with very informative tour guide. Full of history and amazing stories. Will definitely visit again in the near future and will try and spend a few days in St Albans. What a great day out!
Such a lovely place! Lots to see inside the church. Beautiful sculptures and images. I went with my baby girl and found it perfectly accessible with a large pram. The shop inside is reasonably priced and money goes straight to the church. Beautiful grounds surrounding too, with adequate seating. We went there for the day and throughly enjoyed it.
Best to go in the evening to avoid crowds and to catch the atmosphere. Not ostentatious like some places of worship but beautifully simple. Don't miss Albans shrine at the very end of long nave. Beautifully lit up in general evenings.
