Great shopping mall with a great variety of shops to choose from. I rarely get there but enjoy the shopping when I do.
This is a pleasant shopping enclave in the wonderful town of St Albans. You will find all manner of shops including a good TK Maxx. There are tasty snacks available as well as the delicious Hotel Chocolate.
This shopping centre 'feels right' in its urban contest, a winding pedestrian area between traditionally built buildings. Simply, it fits. So many other historical towns and cities vividly demonstrate just what can happen when developers, architects and planners take the other route and create a jarring disconnect!So thanks to those who settled on the concept of The Maltings. It is a pleasure to wander through and to shop there
The spaces are so small in the car park - I struggle to get out of my car and I have a tiny car! Ticket machines are very temperamental - make sure you have money as often refuse cards and the cash machines are at the opposite end by st Peter street. Reasonable range of shops and cafes. Quite central, not far away from other shopping areas and cathedral.
A HUGE thank you to the security team. I had a bad experience with the valet in the car park today. Although the man was nice (not the manager who was rude but the guy who cleaned my car). I left my car park token in the cup holder by mistake. When I came back it was gone. I'm not sure if it was vacuumed or not but I couldn't find it anywhere. After getting some dodgy advice from the valet guys I went to The Maltings management. They were amazing, I was fully expecting to pay the fine and get a telling off for stupidly leaving my token in the car. Instead they were very kind and sympathetic, I think they could see I was upset and they waived the fee. It was such a nice unexpected act of kindness. After quite a hassle, this was so deeply appreciated! Thank you!
