A good branch conveniently located. Good food hall- clothing needs updating, as in other stores.
I can spend hours looking for very interesting food .I bought an interesting vegan beer .
Had a good retail therapy today, bought 2 items. Very satisfied.
I think that my wife finds it impossible to just walk past a M&S . I really wish that they would provide chairs for the many men ( like me ) that stand around and watch their wife plough through row after row of hanging clothes before vanishing into the changing room and emerging ten minutes later with a happy smile on her face !
I was so pleased to find that the St Albans store was open until 8pm. I was less pleased with the scarcity of staff and a lack of customer service. There was only one member of staff on the top floor who was lacklustre and unhelpful.The food department was better staffed but with stock control as the focus. There was no welcoming atmosphere and consequently only a few shoppers.If you are going to open late maybe advertise and bring back our faith in M&S!
