This is such a lovely park, with huge open spaces, beautiful views and Roman heritage to explore. There really is something for everyone from young to old, including refreshments.
This park is really spacious and has many objects inside to have some active free time with the kids. You can find here a gym park, football pitches, basketball court and different playgrounds for kids and not just.Genuinely this territory formerly was an inhabited area surrounded by a wall built by Romans during the occupation of some parts of Britain. This means that this park has even a historical importance as you can find the remained ruins of this wall, a Roman mosaic, a museum with an exhibition about the Roman Britain etc. It's a great choice for any person or group of any age because it can be diverse enough to meet your expectations.
Nice for a walk, or food and drink. Plenty of space for families to bring there children to play. Roman ruins to see, and more.
Lovely park to walk around on the weekends. I took a trip up here on the weekend and thought it was lovely. Lots of open space, lakes and good if you have kids or dogs. The only slightly disappointing thing was that the Roman mosaic was closed on the day we visited, although you can still look through the window to peek at it.
Lovely big park. With lakes and playground. With a good cafe (Inn on the park) and an old historic Pub ( The Fighting cocks). Public amenities and old Roman ruins. Also has a great splash park. Worth a visit
