Really nicely decorated, comfortable, great service and delicious food. The portion sizes are perfect, everything we tried was cooked to perfection and every flavour, from the garlic chilli prawn starter to the port and mushroom steak sauce were beautifully achieved. Will definitely be returning. Just be aware that it doesn't have it's own parking, and the road is very busy, so you'll have to park somewhere else and walk to it.
We've been to Prime St Albans a number of times, and the steaks can be a little hit and miss. They're usually fine - not the best in terms of quality compared to other places, but definitely one of the best options we've found within an hour's drive - however during particularly busy times we've found the quality of the cooking to really suffer. You also don't really get an apology for this, so although the service is usually quite friendly, it could be better. All in all it's somewhere we return to semi-regularly and will continue to do so.
Food ok but unspectacular. Veg not in season and apparently the ladies toilets were a disgrace. There are much better and cheaper places to eat in St Albans.
Absolutely awesome food here at prime steak! I would highly recommend visiting if you are in st Alban's! The food is great the service is great.... There are no downsides! Well, apart from the price that is.... Quality does not come with a bargain price folks! Save up and treat yourself!
1st time visit to this restaurant and it left a lasting impression. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The scallop starter is to die. My large Rib eye was cooked to perfection. My wife asked if the white chocolate from her cheesecake could be wrapped up for our grandchild. The waiter then brought a container of chocolate to take away and left us the original to enjoy. A touching piece of service. Will definitely return. Thank you Prime.
