We always have a great time here, the staff are lovely. We often call in for coffee. Dogs are welcome. The food is delicious, they often have 'specials' at lunchtime. A great atmosphere in lovely surroundings.
Beautiful old Tudor building.Great chef, very helpful on carvery, very friendly.Waiting staff were eatmstern European efficient why didnt listen.We had a 91 year old with us and asked for a small portion main meal, she was given a huge man size meal and told to just leave what you don't want..off putting for her.Drinks order was wrong..Please fix this as everything else was fab and we loved the venue.
Great place very comfy, warm and cosy we had the family room and children loved it. It was a place to stay after Harry Potter studio tour. Had something to eat before going to bed and it was lovely, home made pizza and soup gorgeous and reasonable prices. Only downside TV wasn't working (but you don't go away to watch TV!) It's a very old building with uneven walls and floors so don't expect it perfect but the facilities are! And the staff are great and very friendly. Had the breakfast and it was unbelievably good, lots to choose from and lots of. Definitely would choose again
Wonderfull building, but could be more welcoming. it is quiet, even over Christmas for drinking. I know nothing of its hotel &catering.
