Very rustic pub with a few very good ales and ciders. The Mermaid is a great pub for someone looking for a quiet, friendly venue, but not averse to the occasional bout of live music.
This is a wonder. The cider and ale festivals (cider for me please!) Are brilliant and the staff are super knowledgeable, so you come away a little more learned about the craft than you arrived. Highly recommended!
Old fashioned in the way, old fashioned means everything that is good about pubs.Inexpensive food, but popular with diverse tastes.I shall return to revel in what a pub should be.
