Excellent half-timbered pub in St Michaels Village. Family run (I believe) and a welcoming atmosphere to the many locals (and their dogs) and occasional visitors.Offers lots of tables over two (or maybe three?) rooms plus standing space at the long bar. The log fire is very inviting in Autumn/Winter!Great selection of real ales and excellent home-cooked food. Had many an excellent Sunday Lunch here.
Had the beef and onion pie, best pie Ive ever tasted! Will be back again! Friendly staff, brilliant location but the food sets it apart from the rest!!!
One of the best roast dinners we've had out. Veg too lightly cooked but meat, gravy and yorkshire all tasty. More than 2 roast potatoes would be nice too especially as they were nicely cooked.
